Belt Slipping or Hesitating

Usually caused by improper tension or insufficient lubrication.

  1. Unplug and remove the safety key.
  2. Loosen rear roller bolts 1/4 turn each side.
  3. Apply 30ml silicone lubricant under the belt centre.
  4. Re-tension — 2–3 finger gap at the side.
  5. Test at slow speed for 5 minutes.

Error Code E1 / E2

E1/E2 typically indicate a motor communication fault.

  1. Power off and unplug for 60 seconds.
  2. Check all wiring harness connections at the motor controller.
  3. Clear dust from the motor vent.
  4. Reconnect and test. If error persists, motor controller may need replacement.

⚠ If the error persists, contact support before further disassembly.

Machine Won't Connect to iFIT

Most Wi-Fi failures are resolved with these steps:

  1. Ensure router is on 2.4 GHz (5 GHz not supported on some models).
  2. Move machine within 5m of the router.
  3. Settings → Wi-Fi → Forget Network, then reconnect.
  4. Hard-reset console — hold power for 10 seconds.
  5. After the hard reset, connect to a mobile hotspot to test connectivity. If it connects successfully, your home routers firewall or security settings may be blocking the machine - check with your internet provider or network administrator.
  6. Check for updates in Settings → About.

Console Screen Not Turning On

If the console is unresponsive or screen stays black:

  1. Check safety key is fully inserted.
  2. Try a different power outlet.
  3. Inspect the wire harness between console and frame.
  4. Factory reset: hold Stop + Speed Up for 10 seconds.

Incline Not Responding

Usually a calibration drift or motor fault.

  1. Unplug for 30 seconds and re-plug.
  2. Recalibrate: hold Stop + Speed Down during startup.
  3. Check incline motor wiring for loose connectors.
  4. If motor hums but won't move, actuator may need replacement.

Bike Resistance Not Changing

When auto-resistance stops on your studio bike:

  1. Confirm iFIT is connected — requires an active subscription.
  2. Turn resistance knob manually to test mechanical function.
  3. Inspect magnetic resistance wire harness at base of frame.
  4. Factory reset via Settings → Reset.

iFIT Activation Issues

If machine shows "iFIT not activated":

  1. Verify subscription at my.ifit.com.
  2. Sign out and back in on the console.
  3. Confirm machine is on Wi-Fi.
  4. Contact us if still inactive — we can force a sync.
